The letter at left dated February 6th 1981 was from Cecil Covey in reply to my enquiry and enclosed copy of the photos above which was taken by my grandfather during the War.  Sorry this image is not very clear.

HISTORICAL ARABIAN HORSE PHOTOS

This historical Photo was taken by my grandfather John Eward O'Brien when he was stationed in the deserts during the 1st World War.   It is of Lady Anne Blunt with one of her arabian mares in her Desert Stud.  The image under the photo is of the writing on back of the photo.  

I wrote to Cecil Covey many years ago and he replied saying he thought the mare was 'Fasiha'.
